It's Football Time in Tennessee

Fall is almost here. The cool nights and wonderful colors in the Smokies bring thousands of visitors to East Tennessee. Fall is also the time for football. Many of our guests follow college and pro football each weekend throughout the country. Here in East Tennessee, The University of Tennessee Football experience is second to none. With over 108,000 orange clad fans for each home game, it it easy to get "trapped" in UT Football traffic if you are planning a Smokies visit. With the construction on I-40 in Knoxville, take a second to review the road conditions if your visit happens to be during a weekend when the Vols are home.

Barbeque & Bluegrass

Although summer is ending with Labor Day, the fall season is probably the most visited time in the Smokies. Dollywood's Barbeque and Bluegrass festival starts Sept. 5 through Sept. 28 and features superstars like Ricky Skaggs, the Del McCoury Band, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver. There are many other venues for Bluegrass music in the Smokies as well. If you haven't made your lodging plans yet, give me a call . We still have a few days open during the festival.
